Policy dialogue on ‘Election System and Dalit Representation in Nepal’ was held on 20 January 2012 in Kathmandu. Key speakers were Neel Kantha Uprety, Chief, Election Commission, Shyam Shrestha, leader civil society, Prof. Dr. Birendra Prasad Mishra, ex-chief, Election Commission, Bishwa Bhakta Dulal ‘Aahuti’, CA member and Pudam Sundas, Executive Chairperson, SAMATA foundation.

 Federalism and Dalit Social Inclusion

 28 and 30 December,  2011

Policy dialogue on ‘Federalism and Dalit Social Inclusion’ was organized in collaboration with Jagaran Media Center. It was a two series dialogue. The first dialogue had participants from NGOs working on Dalit issues and scholars including general public. The second dialogue was organized on 30 December 2011 for leaders from major political parties – Nepali Congress, UML and Maoists. Inputs received from these dialogues were submitted to the State Restructuring Committee [SRC].
